The purpose of the Metro Region Health Council Convening is to bring together health council participants and community members who are interested in supporting County/Tribal Health Council activities  in the Counties of Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance and Valencia. The event will provide an opportunity for networking, information sharing, recent news on funding and resources for health councils, and discussion on how we can strengthen our health councils as we move forward with a unified voice to support health for all in our communities.

Topics to be discussed include:

·     News and updates from health councils in the Metro Region

·     Updates from the New Mexico Alliance of Health Councils

·     Health council funding and legislation

·     Health equity and what it means for health councils

·     Results-Based Accountability training opportunity

This event is free of charge, but registration is required so that we have an accurate count for lunch. If you plan to attend part of the day without lunch, you can indicate that on the registration form. Please note that there is no travel subsidy available for this meeting.
